Confirmation

A Christian Journey for Teenagers to Ask Questions, Explore God, and Profess Faith.

Do you want your teenager to have the chance to explore faith?

St. John United Church of Christ in Robinson, TX is leading a confirmation class for younger teenagers during the 2024-2025 school year.

The confirmation journey will include lessons exploring the basics of Protestant Christian theology, along with a lesson on world religions, community service and involvement opportunities as we learn how some local Christians love their neighbors, and opportunities to help lead worship at our church.

What is Confirmation?

Confirmation is an ancient Christian ritual of helping interested folks explore Christian faith and theology before giving them the opportunity to join the church. In our tradition, we usually walk younger teenagers (often middle-school aged) through this journey as they ask questions and discern God's movement in their life.

The confirmation journey is open to students who have been baptized and those who have not. If a student chooses to "confirm" their faith as a Christian, we will celebrate a baptism to accompany that choice.
